Larson Automotive Group is looking for experienced AP/AR professionals to join our growing corporate accounting office. If you have a background in automotive dealership accounting, are detail-driven, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is a great opportunity to become part of a respected and expanding auto group.
As an Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist, you’ll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, processing payments, and supporting the dealership’s day-to-day operations. Your organization and communication skills will directly support the team’s efficiency and financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Voucher & Payment Processing: Review vouchers for accuracy, verify approvals, and prepare timely payments.
- Daily AP Management: Post open accounts payable items, maintain accurate files, and generate relevant reports.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile AP statements and ledgers, ensuring all payments align with vendor terms and dealership schedules.
- Petty Cash Oversight: Manage petty cash and communicate payment date requirements to the Office Manager.
- Vendor Relations: Handle vendor inquiries, analyze account activity, and resolve discrepancies.
- AR Support: Collect past-due balances and manage new charge account approvals when needed.
- Reporting & Projects: Contribute to monthly closing processes and assist with special accounting projects.
- Multitasking & Communication: Prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly and professionally—both written and verbal.
What We’re Looking For
- Prior automotive dealership AP/AR experience is required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Professional, clear communicator—both with internal teams and external vendors
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in dealership accounting software a plus

Time Off & Holidays
- Paid Time Off (PTO):

10+ years: 2.30 hours per 40 hours worked

Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent; or six months to a year experience; or a combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.
- Mathematical aptitude to include calculating figures such as
o Discounts

o Commissions
o Proportions
o Percentages
- Ability to problem solve.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
