Overview
We are looking for a Baker to join our local bagel shop and cafe. The ideal candidate will have experience in baking, particularly with bread. We will teach you how to hand-roll and bake New York style bagels. This position offers flexible hours, ranging from part-time to full-time, with a required start time of 5:30 AM, normally off at 1pm.

Responsibilities
- Learn to hand-roll and bake New York style bagels daily
- Prepare other baked goods such as pastries according to established recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, following food safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as needed
- Collaborate with team members to maintain product quality and consistency
Requirements
- Past professional experience as a baker, with bread-baking experience being particularly valuable
- Understanding of food safety practices and baking methods
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and various baking tools
- Ability to work early morning hours, starting at 5:00 AM
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products
- Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Some pastry baking experience is helpful
