As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our bakery operations, ensuring that our products are prepared, packaged, and presented to the highest standards while maintaining food safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation tasks including measuring, mixing, and baking ingredients for various bakery items.
- Support the production of pastries, breads, and other baked goods following established recipes and guidelines.
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
- Utilize knives and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively during food preparation.
- Package finished products for display or sale while maintaining quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or bakery setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Basic skills in food preparation, including familiarity with baking processes.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift and carry items as needed throughout the shift.
- A passion for baking and willingness to learn new skills related to pastry production is highly desirable.

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
