Wright’s Dairy Farm & Bakery is a fifth-generation, family-owned business in North Smithfield, Rhode Island. For over 100 years, we’ve been committed to producing exceptional, scratch-made products using fresh ingredients—many from our own working dairy farm. We’re currently seeking a Bakery Decorator and Finisher to join our bakery team. This hands-on role focuses on finishing and decorating a variety of pastries and stock cakes, with opportunities to learn and grow into cake decorating for the right candidate.
What You’ll Do:
Pastry Finishing Duties:

Assemble and decorate pastries such as cupcakes, eclairs, cream puffs, cake slices, and more.

Finish stock cakes with buttercream, whipped cream, ganache, fruit, and other toppings.

Prepare and cut dessert bars (e.g., brownies, lemon bars, fruit squares).

Follow daily production lists and restock core items as needed.

Maintain high standards of quality, appearance, and freshness.

Set up and finish pastry platters for retail or custom orders.
Team & Bakery Responsibilities:

Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure smooth operations.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Use bakery tools, scheduling apps, digital checklists, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Participate in team meetings, daily huddles, and ongoing training.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

1–2 years of pastry or bakery experience preferred (or formal training in pastry arts).

Reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new skills.

Able to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and some evenings.

Physical Requirements:
