Salary/Benefits: $45,000-$55,000/year based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package

Job Summary
We’re seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Manager to lead our Front Production team in a fast-paced, high-volume bakery environment. This is not a desk job. You’ll be on the floor each day, working closely with a team of approximately 25 staff.
In this role, you’ll be actively involved in daily production activities, including icing, finishing, and decorating, while also being accountable for staff performance, workflow coordination, and product quality. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with practical, hands-on management skills who leads by example and ensures daily operations run smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor our production teams (Icing, Finishing & Decorating) to meet quality and productivity goals.
- Be actively involved in the daily production of baked goods-icing, finishing, and decorating will be a large portion of your day!
- Train, coach, and support our team members, ensuring product quality, consistency, and team morale.
- Oversee and perform quality control checks on appearance, weight, size, and consistency of all products.
- Maintain inventory of baked goods and supplies and adjust production accordingly.
- Manage scheduling, performance management, and discipline for Front Production staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and promote a clean, safe work environment.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure smooth operations across both locations.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous bakery or food production experience is required. Commercial or scratch bakery experience is highly preferred.
- Hands-on production skills are essential. You must be able to train and perform all aspects of finishing, icing, and decorating.
- Proven experience in team leadership or production management is required.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
- Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, working around hot/cold temperatures).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Pastry Arts or Associate's Degree preferred.
- ServSafe Certification preferred or must be obtained after 90 days (company-paid).
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and pass our drug/background screening process.
