Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Banquet Captain to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and hospitality, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Banquet Captain, you will oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring that all guests receive high-quality service in a timely manner.
Duties
- Lead and coordinate banquet staff to ensure smooth operation during events.
- Oversee the setup of banquet rooms, including table arrangements, decorations, and audio/visual equipment.
- Ensure that food and beverage service is executed according to established standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the event and address any concerns promptly.
- Manage cash handling procedures during events, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food items and adherence to safety standards.
- Train new staff on proper food handling techniques and service protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or the food industry, preferably in a casual dining or banquet setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and staff professionally.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures.
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
