We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barber to join our premium grooming team in East Lakeview, Chicago. Our three-chair barbershop is set to open in September 2025, bringing high-quality cuts, shaves, and styling services to a professional, welcoming space. Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform expert haircuts, straight razor shaves, and styling services tailored to clients' preferences.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure tools are sanitized after each use.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized style recommendations.
- Leverage shop technology for appointment scheduling, client management, and digital payment processing.
- Assist with front desk operations, including greeting clients and managing retail transactions.
- Help foster the shop’s brand identity and welcoming environment by delivering exceptional service.
- Mentor junior barbers or apprentices to elevate their skills and uphold professional standards.
- Implement retail math practices to track inventory efficiently and drive product sales.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in barbering, with expertise in straight razor techniques and precision cuts.
- Newly graduated barbers are encouraged to apply—we provide a great environment for skill-building and hands-on experience.
- Proficiency in hair threading and facial hair shaping techniques is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on building client relationships.
- Experience mentoring others in barbering techniques and customer engagement.
- Front desk experience preferred, with the ability to manage client interactions smoothly.
- Knowledge of retail math for inventory control and sales optimization.
- Ability to promote products and services effectively through strong sales techniques.
