Japanese Cafe
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Cafe Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and inviting cafe environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and beverages, enjoy working in a fast-paced setting, and be committed to delivering high-quality service to our customers.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
- Prepare and serve a variety of food items and beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including dining areas, kitchen, and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth cafe operations during peak hours.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are essential.
- Be able to make it to our Kips Bay Cafe by 6:30 in the morning.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
