Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a genuine love for coffee and café culture. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring food safety and quality standards, and providing outstanding service to enhance the overall customer experience.
Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders, answering questions, and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and communication.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures.
- Experience with POS systems; familiarity with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic retail math for processing transactions accurately.
- Previous experience in the food industry or café environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- A passion for coffee culture and willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage preparation.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
