Summary: Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. Supporting all business lines including PLA, Land, Transportation and Water.
General Responsibilities:
- Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Representing LJA at events (social, corporate, marketing, business development)
- Branding materials (clothing, etc), brand ambassador
- Monitors marketing patterns: what is/isn’t working, wins, promotions
- Build social media presence and networking.
- Maintain updated information on resumes, portfolios, hires, employee highlights, and LinkedIn
Required Education:
- BA or BS degree in business administration, sales or relevant field
Required Experience:
- 10 – 15 years proven track record in business development and marketing
- Have creative experience (InDesign, Photoshop, Office, etc)
- Attention to detail / consistent, ability to multi-task
- Social media experience, video and photography skills
- Editing and writing experience, strong communication
- In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events
