Job Title: Behavior InterventionistJob Family: Certified LicensedDepartment: District Administration OfficeFLSA Status: Exempt Pay Range: T Salary Schedule: $45.000.00 - 84,112.00Length of Contract/Terms of Employment: 10-month contractBenefits: Employee Benefits PackageJob ID#: 1452 Position Summary: The Behavior Interventionist works with the special education teachers and special education paraprofessionals to implement behavior plans for students with IEPs in the classroom setting. The Behavior Interventionist assists in collecting data, developing reports, and preparing for IEP meetings. The Behavior Interventionist provides the appropriate Tier II and Tier III behavioral supports in the school setting for students in the MTSS process. Position Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Ability to instruct students on behavioral interventions in and out of a classroom settingAbility to coach and support classroom teachers about how to implement a behavior plan in a classroom setting.Ability to collect multiple forms of observable student behavioral data.Apply knowledge of human growth and development and child psychology as it relates to children 5-21. Participate in the MTSS/RtI processes and interventions.Assist the school in effective and timely response to crisis: Attend Trauma Response Training as delegated by principal.

Participate on the Trauma Response Team OR upon request, provide support for the Trauma Response Team Member responding to crisis. Collaborate with the principal when a crisis occurs in our own building to provide as-needed planning, support, intervention, and advocacy in response to individual or school wide crises.Collaborate with school counselors, principals, classroom teachers, special education team members, and staff. Recognize and educate cultural competency and cultural bias.
