Must have a solid understanding of FMLA guidelines and at least 2 years' experience with FMLA administration
Must understand various state leave laws and ADA
Must be knowledgeable of Short-Term and Long-Term disability coverage
Must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Word and Excel, particularly have working knowledge of mail merge, VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
Must have auditing experience and comfortable performing large audits
Must have excellent time management and organizational skills, and efficient in prioritizing duties
Must have excellent communication skills with a friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor
Must be able to work independently or with a group
Experience with JD Edwards and ADP HWSE is a plus
Understanding and having the ability to explain medical deductibles, coinsurance, MOOP and EOBs is a plus
Serves as liaison between the third-party Leave and Disability Administrator and employees
Responsible for daily management of leave data in the HRIS
Performs weekly, bi-weekly and monthly audits
Works closely with the Payroll Department to ensure employee Short-Term Disability payments are processed timely and accurately
Responsible for ensuring employees pay monthly Direct Bill payments while on leave of absence
Manages the Return-to-Work process including obtaining medical releases
Provides correspondence as needed to employees on a leave of absence
Provides procedure and policy information to employees
Provides assistance with employee benefit questions and resolutions
Performs all other duties as assigned or required
