General Description: Responsible for the effectiveness and productivity of the workers in his or her team, will collaborate with the department manager to optimize crop quality, efficiency, and production.
Essential Job Functions:
- Check quality grading
- Check daily paperwork
- Make sure work areas are always clean especially at the end of the day
- Trays\pots are sitting correctly on the bed for irrigation
- Create Inspiring Team enviroment
- Set and Acheive Team Goals
- Delegate tasks abd Set Deadlines
- Monitor Team and Report Metrics
- Motivate Team Members
- Identify Training Needs and provide Coaching
- Train new hires and check on them daily- assist in getting them to production speed.
- Ensure plants are processed properly and according to instructions given
- Assist team members to ensure they have proper tools and supplies to execute appointed tasks
Requirements
- Proven Work Experience as Team Lead
- Excellent Communiation and Leadership Skills
- Bilingual in Spanish and English Strongly prefere
- Ability to work in warm and humid environment
- Must be able to stand, sit, lift, stoop, and carry, for extended periods of time
- Be capable of completing worksheets, calculating work completed, and reading/writing tags/labels
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs
