Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: N/A Experience REQUIRED: Minimum of five (5) years experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment. An equivalent combination of education and experience or military training may be substituted. Experience PREFERRED: Proficient in all skills required for a BMET I and BMET II (see BMET I & II Job Description). Education/training REQUIRED: HighSchool Diploma or equivalent. Education/training PREFERRED: Associate’s Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics or closely related field. Independent action(s) required: Conducts repairs according to procedures. Maintain inventory and par levels of all instruments and supplies. Follows OSHA and TJC guidelines. Job duties may include the access to and/or contact with medications and related supplies. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): May oversee staff in the absence of supervisor. May assist with orientation and training of new employees. Additional position requirements: On call Rotation and occasional weekend, shift rotations as work demands.
