Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral therapy and experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. As a BCBA, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to promote positive behavior changes.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify behavioral challenges and needs of clients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Collect and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment adjustments and ensure the effectiveness of interventions.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to provide support and education regarding behavioral strategies.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient records, intake forms, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide training and supervision to behavior technicians and other staff members involved in the implementation of treatment plans.
- Stay current with research in the field of behavioral health to ensure best practices are utilized in client care.
Experience
- Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is required.
- Proven experience in behavioral therapy, particularly with children and individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working within educational settings is preferred.
- Strong skills in data collection, patient assessment, medical terminology, and medical documentation are essential.
- Experience working with people with disabilities in various settings is highly desirable.
