Job Summary: As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will play a crucial role in providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver personalized ABA programs in various settings to enhance behaviors and foster skill development, ultimately aiming to improve the lives of children and families facing autism. Duties: - Implement individualized ABA programs based on treatment plans and guidance from BCBA or qualified health professionals. - Conduct 1:1 ABA therapy sessions in diverse environments such as homes, schools, and community settings to support clients in behavior improvement and skill acquisition. - Maintain detailed documentation of client sessions through accurate data recording, comprehensive session notes, and timely timesheet entries. - Cultivate strong relationships with clients and their families, collaborating with parents to ensure goal achievement for the child. - Collaborate with supervisors by providing updates on cases, reporting schedule changes, and confirming availability for sessions. - Engage in supervision sessions and team meetings to enhance professional development and ensure program effectiveness. - Complete necessary training and competencies required for Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification if mandated for the position. - Uphold professional standards at all times, including maintaining client confidentiality, respecting boundaries, and communicating effectively with families. Skills: - Proficiency in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques. - Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral therapy. - Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism. - Competence in medical documentation and maintaining accurate medical records. - Ability to provide patient care with empathy and understanding. - Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles and practices. - Experience working with children in a therapeutic or educational setting.
