About Us
As a Broadband Inspector, you will monitor crews and inspect broadband infrastructure to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will work closely with our technical team to identify and resolve issues, conduct routine inspections, and provide detailed reports on the conditions of the broadband buildout.
Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
- Regularly visit construction sites to inspect the fiber conduit installation, handhole locations, and utility avoidance procedures.
- Verify compliance with project plans, blueprints, and technical specifications, including proper routing of conduits.
- Identify deviations from standards, such as improper conduit placement or damage to underground utilities, and document them with detailed reports.
- Utilizing project software in the field to maintain accurate records of inspection findings, including photos and measurements, and generate detailed reports outlining non-compliance issues and recommended corrective actions.
Communicate findings effectively to construction crews, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely resolution of identified issues. - Oversee the restoration of excavated areas, ensuring proper backfilling and surface restoration to ensure a seamless transition.
The Criteria for Joining Our Team
Education
- High school diploma required. Relevant and sufficient work experience may be substituted for a high school diploma requirement.
Certification and License(s)
- OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 a plus)
- Valid driver’s license.
Experience
- Over five years up to and including seven years.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Understand the methods of underground and aerial cable installation, including trenching, boring, and pole attachment procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently apply quality standards.
- Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and propose practical solutions.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks related to cable installation and inspection.
- Excellent written and verbal communication to convey inspection findings and recommendations.
- Possess a strong understanding of fiber optic technology, network architecture, construction practices, and relevant safety regulations.
