Job Description:
As the Lead Broiler Cook, you will manage and operate the broiler station, ensuring that all steaks and proteins are cooked to the temperature requested by the guest and to the specifications according to the restaurant's standards and recipes.
- You will play a crucial role in driving the concept of the restaurant, as the timing of other kitchen stations will be based on the cook times of steaks and proteins.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate and expedite the flow of orders, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Train and mentor junior broiler cooks and kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety procedures, and kitchen best practices.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring proper storage of perishable items.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following sanitation guidelines and food safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Broiler Cook or similar role in a high-volume steak house or restaurant environment.
- Extensive knowledge of different cuts of meat, taking meat temperatures, and seasoning.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with kitchen staff, servers, and management.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation procedures is preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Compensation depends on experience
