Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Brokerage Entry Writer / Filer to join our air import team. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of formal, informal, and Section 321 (Type 86) entry filings. Experience with U.S. Customs procedures and strong familiarity with ACE and air import operations is preferred. A Customs Broker License is a plus. Detailed training will be provided once the candidate's application is accepted.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit customs entries for formal, informal, and Section 321 (Type 86) shipments
- Review and classify products using HTS codes and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
- Coordinate with customs brokers, and internal operations teams
- Monitor and track entry status to ensure timely clearance and release of goods
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with CBP regulations and company standards
- Identify and resolve entry discrepancies, compliance issues, or delays
- Communicate with U.S. Customs and other government agencies as needed
- Support audits, post-entry amendments, and reconciliation processes when required
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in U.S. air import customs entry writing (formal, informal, and Section 321/Type 86)
- Proficiency in entry systems (e.g., ACE, ABI software)
- Knowledge of customs regulations, entry types, and HTS classification
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Customs Broker License preferred but not required
