The Engineering Services Department at the City of Raleigh plays a vital role in designing, managing, and sustaining the City’s infrastructure and facilities. Within the department, the Integrated Facility Services Division team is responsible for facility operations, capital asset management, contract oversight, and strategic systems integration. Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate current business processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, or areas for improvement
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to design and implement process enhancements that align with organizational goals
- Document workflows, create visual process maps, and develop standard operating procedures to support consistent execution across teams
- Maintain, update, and support platforms such as SharePoint, eBuilder, and Cityworks to ensure their functionality meets operational needs
- Assist with GIS and BIM coding, system integration, and mapping tasks using tools such as ArcGIS and iMaps
- Develop and track performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of process improvements
- Support user adoption of new technologies by developing training materials, providing user support, and leading training sessions
- Serve as a liaison for system upgrades and participate in testing, implementation, and feedback cycles to ensure successful deployment of tools and updates
- A driver’s license is required for this position to enable site visits across multiple City facilities, meetings with stakeholders, and on-site process evaluations. These duties are essential for accurately assessing workflows, integrating systems, and validating performance data and metrics in operational environments
Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in information technology or related field and one year of business systems analysis experience.
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
Licensing and Certifications:
- Valid North Carolina Class C Driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
Additional Information
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of business process analysis, improvement strategies, and performance measurement
- Proficiency in documentation tools, process mapping, and visualizing workflows
- Experience with enterprise software platforms and data systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements
- Skilled in organizing and presenting data using visual formats such as dashboards or flowcharts
- Capable of developing training materials and providing user support

Positions in this class typically require: fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Working Conditions:
