Business Unit Manager (6216)

SUMMARY

The Business Unit Manager has operational effectiveness by evaluating business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and ensuring alignment between business needs and system capabilities. This role is ideal for a systems thinker who is inquisitive, analytical, and highly collaborative. While not a traditional technical position, the analyst must be comfortable working within ERP systems, interpreting operational data, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive sustainable continuous improvement. Preferred candidates bring light programming or scripting experience to enhance problem-solving, support data validation, and streamline workflow analysis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Lead daily operations to meet production targets in alignment with the Business Unit budget.
• Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory protocols.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks; assess and address skill gaps across the operation.
• Provide hands-on leadership across Quality, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, scheduling, and planning functions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, performance management, and operational discipline.
• Lead capital upgrades and efficiency initiatives to improve productivity across overall operations.
• Responsible for achieving budgeted revenue, cost, quality, and delivery performance for the Business Unit.
• Integrate effectively with shared services, including shipping, logistics, and supply chain.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including construction teams, government bodies, and third-party vendors.
• Champion a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and operational excellence.
• Align operational objectives with company growth strategy, customer requirements, and performance goals.
