POSITION SUMMARY
The Busser plays a vital role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents by ensuring a clean, welcoming, and well-organized dining room environment. This team member supports the servers and kitchen staff by clearing tables, resetting place settings, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the dining areas of our senior living community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet residents courteously and assist in seating as needed.
- Clear used dishes, utensils, and glassware from tables promptly.
- Wipe down and reset tables quickly and efficiently between meals.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the dining room, including floors and service stations.
- Assist with transporting food and beverages to tables when necessary.
- Ensure water, coffee, and condiments are replenished throughout service.
- Support overall dining room operations and communicate resident needs to servers or supervisors.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Provide friendly and respectful service to all residents, guests, and staff.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Education and certificates:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is a plus, but not required.
Experience, Competencies, and Skills:
- No experience necessary – entry-level welcome.
- Previous experience in a hospitality or dining environment is a plus.
- A positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with seniors.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
