Role Overview
As a combined Busser & Food Runner, you'll support guest satisfaction by ensuring clean, well-prepared tables and timely delivery of meals. You will help staff maintain a polished and efficient dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Table & Dining Room Support
- Clear and reset tables promptly and discreetly—remove dishes, wipe surfaces, replenish table settings.
- Maintain bus stations and dining room cleanliness, including spills and floor debris.
- Meal Delivery & Coordination
- Transport food and beverage orders from kitchen to tables accurately and quickly.
- Verify plate presentation, correct items, and temperatures before service.
- Team Collaboration & Efficiency
- Aid servers during peak periods—assisting with tray carrying, refilling beverages, and managing side work.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and FOH staff about special requests, order modifications, and guest feedback.
Qualifications & Attributes
- Required: Must be legally eligible to serve alcohol (typically 18+, depending on location).
- Preferred: Previous experience in restaurant service, bussing, or food running.
- Physical: Ability to stand and move continuously, lift trays and dishes, and handle multitasking responsibilities.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment.
