Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and a strong understanding of cabinet construction techniques. This role involves creating high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces that meet our clients' specifications while ensuring precision and craftsmanship. The Cabinet Maker will work closely with designers and clients to bring their visions to life, utilizing various tools and materials in the process.
Duties
- Construct, assemble, and finish cabinets according to design specifications.
- Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing wood.
- Collaborate with designers to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Measure, cut, and shape materials to create custom cabinetry.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the construction process.
- Assist in the installation of cabinets on-site as needed.
Experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in cabinet making or a related field such as trim carpentry or the restoration industry.
- Familiarity with construction painting, drywall installation, mold remediation, and roofing is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using CNC machines for precision cutting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical work related to cabinetry installations is a plus.
- Experience with various power tools essential for woodworking tasks.
- A background as a maintenance person can be beneficial for this role.
