Cable Installer (Contractor Position)
We’re currently hiring Cable Installers to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity for both experienced technicians and motivated individuals who are eager to learn a trade in high demand. We install and maintain Wi-Fi routers, modems, and cable systems for Spectrum customers. If you're reliable, hands-on, and ready to work, we’ll train you from the ground up — no experience necessary.
What You’ll Do:
- Install, maintain, and repair cable systems for residential and commercial customers.
- Set up and troubleshoot Wi-Fi routers, modems, Ethernet connections, and basic network hardware.
- Use hand tools and testing equipment like voltmeters to verify proper installation.
- Perform service visits to identify and resolve issues.
- Climb ladders, drill through walls or crawl spaces, and run cables inside and outside homes.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients about the work being performed.
- Keep accurate records of work done and updates made to installations.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
- Interest in working as a cable technician (no experience required — we’ll train you!).
- OR prior experience in cable installation, telecommunications, electrical work, or networking.
- Comfortable using tools, climbing ladders, and working outdoors or in tight spaces.
- Must have a reliable vehicle capable of carrying a ladder rack and basic tools.
- Able to pass a background check and drug test.
- Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn.
Training & Compensation:
- Training Pay: $100/day during your training period.
- During training, you will shadow experienced techs and learn hands-on until you're confident and ready.
