Cad Technician
Location: Office
Position: Full time
Reports to Assigned PM
Salary Range: $45-$60k Annual Salary
Position Summary:
The Cad Technician shall be capable of drafting and detailing. This position requires discipline and attention to detail with quality workmanship while meeting deadlines. The Technician works to support the project by ensuring accurate details associated with shop and fabrication drawings to be utilized by the project team members. The Technician will also support the project team by assisting with submittals, field verification, and other such deliverables as directed by the PM. This role is considered a development platform for advancement into other roles and responsibilities throughout the company.
Essential Functions:
· Ability to read, create, and follow both shop and fabrication drawings.
· Ability to perform basic math functions.
· Ability to communicate in both oral and written capacities.
· Efficient in Panel Builder, AutoCad, and other platforms utilized by Stovall.
· Assist with material takeoff, optimization, and associated coordination.
· Develop and/or review detailed schedule of values.
· Participate in scope review and turnover meetings.
· Resolve scope of work clarifications with the project team.
· Developing and maintaining a submittal register, receiving submittals from subcontractors and suppliers, developing submittals, plans and reports, reviewing submittals for verification that they meet all project documents, and communicating submittals to the appropriate members of the project team.
· Maintain and distribute information to the project team via Autodesk Builds project management software.
· Maintain and distribute information to the project team using document management software.
· Work to promote a safe work environment for all workers with an injury free objective.
Qualifications:

· Computer and iPad skills with Microsoft Office, Project Management Software (Procore, Prolog, etc.), Bluebeam, CAD, BIM, and scheduling software.
· 3+ years of experience in commercial construction.
· Bachelor’s Degree in a construction related field or with related experience.
· Fair and reasonable proactive approach with a strong work ethic and a positive can-do attitude.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. When visiting a job site, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of APM, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week.
