About the Position
We’re seeking a CADD Manager (Rail and Transportation Infrastructure) to join our team! You'll oversee computer-aided design and drafting activities for large-scale passenger rail and heavy civil infrastructure programs exceeding $500M in value. You'll manage CADD professionals, establish and enforce project-wide standards, and ensure the production of accurate, compliant, and coordinated engineering deliverables that support program design, procurement, construction, and operations.
This is a long-term, full-time, onsite position located in the greater Los Angeles metro area, CA.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Create and edit 2D and 3D models using computer aided design software.
- Ensure all designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- May lead and mentor a team of CAD professionals.
- Coordinate with engineering, architecture, project controls, and construction teams to ensure CADD deliverables meet scope, schedule, and regulatory requirements.
- Support integration between design platforms and program-wide project management tools.
- Maintain digital file structures, drawing libraries, and metadata controls to support multi-billion-dollar program documentation needs.
- Review and approve design outputs for accuracy, quality, compliance, and constructability.
- Support design-build procurement packages, bid documents, and change-order drawing updates.
- Provide training, technical support, and knowledge transfer to CADD staff to build program-wide drafting capability.
- Prepare executive-level reporting on drafting production status, quality metrics, and resource utilization.

Minimum Qualifications
- AAS degree in computer aided drafting or related field.
- 10+ years’ work experience supporting transportation infrastructure, inclusive of passenger rail projects.
- Strong proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD, Connect, V8i, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365/Suite (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $120k-$170k/year ($57-$80/hour). The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate’s level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, geographic location, etc.
