We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Cake Decorator. In this role, you will be responsible for decorating cakes according to customer preferences and Baskin-Robbins quality standards. You will make the customer orders as well as keep the cases stocked.
Hours will vary 5-15 per week and hours are flexible but you must be available to come in throughout the week and weekends as needed to fill customer orders. Please note we have several cake decorators so you will work with them to ensure the stores are covered.
Responsibilities:
- Decorate cakes and ice cream treats (polar pizzas, dipped bananas, clown cones, etc) based on customer orders and design specifications.
- Utilize various decorating techniques including piping and icing to create visually appealing designs. (we don't use fondant)
- Ensure all cake decorations are completed accurately and efficiently within designated timeframes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating area, including equipment and tools.
- Assist customers in choosing cake designs, flavors, and sizes that meet their needs.
- Uphold Baskin-Robbins' standards of product quality and customer service at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cake decorating (must be able to share previous cakes that you have decorated)
- Strong artistic ability with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Availability to work flexible hours to ensure customer orders are completed on-time.
