Full Time Cake Decorators

· ServSafe Food Handler Certificate is preferred
Baker responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Be punctual and reliable;
- Be able to work fast and efficiently in a fast-paced environment;
- Be able to work and thrive as a team and independently;
- Be able to produce, prep and decorate cakes, shortcakes, and desserts according to Company standards;
- Have basic knowledge of kitchen equipment (proofer, fryer, mixer, etc)
- Have the ability to read, follow and adjust to changing production list;
- Maintain a clean and organized workplace at all times;
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines;
- Assist with deliveries and inventory;

Overview
We are seeking a full time Cake Decorator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and decorating, with the ability to create visually stunning cakes that delight our customers. This role requires a keen eye for detail, artistic flair, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Cake Decorator, you will play a vital role in bringing our customers' visions to life through your cake designs.
Duties
- Decorate cakes and pastries according to customer specifications and company standards.
- Utilize various decorating techniques, including piping, fondant application, and airbrushing.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production of products.
- Prepare and handle food items in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating station and kitchen area.
- Assist in the preparation of cake batters and other baked goods as needed.
- Package finished products for display or delivery while ensuring presentation quality.
Skills
- Proficiency in cake decorating techniques and knowledge of pastry arts.
- Strong skills in food preparation and handling within a kitchen environment.
- Familiarity with restaurant or food production settings is preferred.
- Ability to work with various tools, including knives and other kitchen equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Strong time management skills to meet production deadlines effectively.
