Calibration Technician Job Responsibilities:
- Manage gages and calibrations (in-house, outside, onsite)
- Monitor and maintain calibration report form and software on a regular (daily/weekly) basis.
- Assist management with internal/external quality audits relating to calibration and tracking of gages
- Report directly to Manager any issues with calibrations, repairs, replacements and/or new gages
- Identify new gages needed and/or review gages requested by other departments and users
- Perform in-house calibrations on mechanical gages in support of Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality.
- Manage onsite calibrations of equipment including optical comparators, vision machine systems, CMM’S, surface granite plates, oven temperature machines, weight scales, OGP’s, etc.
- Contact the appropriate calibration house for quoting and services, verifying they are able to provide the appropriate inspection/equipment certifications
- Review onsite/outside Calibration Certifications
- Coordinate Calibration Program schedule
- Interact with different vendors as needed/required, for gage repair quotations, purchasing of new gages and outside calibrations
Calibration Technician Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in mechanical gage calibration
- Experienced in gage management including maintaining calibration requirements, procedures and documentation of gage inventory
- Experienced in the coordination of calibration activities and certification documentation
- Experience with gage calibration software
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
