Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, patience, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Monitor patients’ health by observing and reporting changes in condition or behavior.
- Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring safety at all times.
- Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
- Support individuals with special needs, including those with autism or dementia, through tailored care approaches.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living or home community care is preferred.
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and long-term care practices is advantageous.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or dementia will be considered a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely is essential.
- Cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for clients are beneficial.
