Duties
- Provide personal care services including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor patients’ health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with mobility and lifting of patients to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Support individuals with memory care needs through engaging activities and companionship.
- Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals to meet the specific needs of each client.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Facilitate home community care by assisting clients in participating in social activities and outings.
- Document daily activities, progress, and any incidents as required by agency policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and senior care practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is beneficial.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist them with mobility as needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
