Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and assisting with product inquiries. Your ability to engage with customers and promote products will be key to enhancing their shopping experience in our store environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist in merchandising efforts by organizing product displays and ensuring shelves are stocked.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities during customer interactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and throughout the store.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive shopping atmosphere for all customers.
Skills
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Proficiency in cashiering and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Experience in retail sales, including knowledge of retail math concepts.
- Familiarity with stocking procedures and inventory management within a store setting.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a diverse customer base.
