Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cashier/Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring that all food safety and preparation standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, including equipment and utensils.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer orders and payments.
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee, food items, and supplies; assist in restocking as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment.
- Experience in the food service or food industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with retail math for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
- Basic math skills to ensure precise measurements for beverage preparation.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.57 - $19.73 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
