Catering Sales Department Manager
We are the premier retail food company in NYC and are seeking a dynamic Catering Sales Department Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading all aspects of catering sales, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to develop strategic catering plans
- Proactively connect with NYC businesses to generate new opportunities, including corporate events and recurring daily/weekly orders
- Manage catering events from order intake through execution and follow-up, incorporating customer feedback.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat and referral business
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative seasonal and holiday menus with timely availability
- Oversee execution of catering orders and gift baskets, ensuring quality, accuracy, and presentation
- Lead and train catering staff with a focus on upselling, order accuracy, and service excellence
- Work with marketing to promote seasonal offerings through email campaigns, digital content, and marketing materials
- Create and update website content to showcase catering services, holiday menus, and gift basket offerings
- Resolve client issues promptly and professionally to maintain a high level of satisfaction
Experience:
- Proven experience in catering sales, gift basket programs, website management, and client relationship development
- Strong sales performance with a history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Proficiency with web content tools, POS systems, Microsoft Publisher, Canva, and Excel
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 annually plus, to commensurate with experience and introduction of existing customer base.
