Job Summary: The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for soliciting, booking, planning, and coordinating a wide range of events including weddings, corporate meetings, and social gatherings. This role is integral to the success of the Sales & Catering team and requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about hospitality, sales-driven, detail-oriented, and excels in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding communication and organizational skills while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively solicit and book catering events, including weddings, corporate functions, and social events.
- Manage all aspects of the event sales cycle: inquiry, proposal, site visit, contract, planning, and execution.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
- Respond to all inbound inquiries within four (4) hours and follow up consistently to maximize conversion.
- Conduct site tours, effectively present the hotel’s offerings, and customize packages to meet client needs.
- Negotiate, influence, and upsell to both prospective and existing clients.
- Create accurate and detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and communicate requirements to internal departments.
- Work closely with the Banquets and Culinary Teams to ensure flawless event execution and guest satisfaction.
- Meet or exceed individual and team catering revenue goals.
- Participate in sales calls, networking events, bridal shows, and community outreach to generate new business.
- Manage event logistics including menu planning, floor plans, timelines, AV needs, and décor specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and bookings in Delphi.FDC and other relevant systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating professionalism and hospitality at all times.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of (1) year of experience in catering sales, preferably in a hotel, resort, or conference center setting.
- Proven success in wedding and social event sales is preferred.
- Prior experience with Delphi.FDC preferred.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple events simultaneously.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
