Job Description
As a CDL-A Driver you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of metal materials to and from our client facilities
What you'll be responsible for:
- Operate a CDL-A class end dump or super roll off to transport metal materials to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies
- Safely load and unload metal materials using appropriate equipment and secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Perform manual tarping if necessary
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries, interacting with customers and handling inquiries or concerns in a polite and helpful manner
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
Qualifications
To join our team:
18 Speed Manual Transmission Experience is a Must
- Valid CDL-A driver's license with a clean MVR and Medical Card
- Must be physically fit to hand tarp 40 and 53yd bins
- Experience driving 18 or 13 speed, manual transmission is required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an CDL-A Driver, preferably in a transportation or logistics setting
- Excellent driving skills and ability to navigate various road and traffic conditions
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform loading and unloading activities as required
- Familiarity with metal recycling processes and materials is an asset
