Job Title: Athletic Trainer - Human Performance Optimization (HPO)

About the Role:
Global Security Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Athletic Trainer (ATC) to lead a Human Performance Optimization (HPO) program for elite Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) operators of the Idaho Air National Guard. This is a unique opportunity to work with tactical athletes, applying your expertise in a high-stakes environment to ensure they maintain peak physical readiness for their demanding global missions. You will be the cornerstone of a program designed to prevent injuries, enhance performance, and provide rapid rehabilitation, mirroring the integrated support models seen in professional sports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive injury prevention, "pre-habilitation," and performance enhancement programs tailored to the physical demands of tactical athletes.
- Provide immediate evaluation, treatment, and triage for acute musculoskeletal injuries within the NATA scope of practice.
- Develop individualized and group training plans incorporating strength, conditioning, speed, agility, and flexibility.
- Utilize advanced modalities such as cupping and dry needling to accelerate recovery.
- Track all member assessments, treatments, and progress using a specialized software system.
- Advise unit leadership on all matters related to sports medicine, injury trends, and HPO program effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with military medical staff to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Maintain all equipment and ensure a safe, clean training environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Athletic Training.
- Current certification from the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain an Athletic Trainer license in the state of Idaho.
- A minimum of four (4) years of demonstrated experience as an Athletic Trainer.
- Proven experience working with professional or other elite-level athletes.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including hiking over rough terrain and functioning in austere environments.
- Excellent communication, data analysis, and reporting skills.
- Must be able to pass a NACI/Tier 1 background check for Common Access Card (CAC) issuance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the NSCA. (Certification must be obtained within the first year of employment).
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
