Position Summary: As a Certified Caregiver, you will provide essential care to residents under the supervision of a Wellness Director . Your role will be pivotal in promoting residents' dignity, independence, and choice. You will regularly observe and report residents’ physical and mental conditions, ensuring their well-being.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the CAPLICO Core Values and Code of Conduct at all times.
- Ensure compliance with Resident Rights and HIPAA policies.
- Follow all resident care procedures according to established policies.
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (personal hygiene, grooming, feeding, ambulation, medical monitoring, etc.).
- Ensure resident safety and maintain a safe environment.
- Encourage residents’ self-help and independence, promoting their highest well-being.
- Assist with lifting and transferring residents and respond promptly to assistance pages.
- Observe and report changes in residents' conditions or behaviors to appropriate personnel.
- Document care provided in accordance with department, facility, and state requirements.
- Serve meals, assist residents during meal times, and help with dining room clean-up.
- Coordinate resident care services with co-workers.
- Perform first aid and initiate emergency response procedures as needed.
- Support community fire safety and infection control practices, and report unsafe conditions.
- Greet residents, visitors, and staff courteously and answer phones as assigned.
- Assist with tours, move-ins, and move-outs.
- Report malfunctioning equipment to your Supervisor.
- Participate in required training, in-services, and staff meetings.
- Maintain certification as required by state or federal agencies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified caregiver credentials in good standing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow care schedules.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passionate about providing compassionate and respectful care.
