Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental professionals in delivering exceptional services. Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, including treatment notes and medical histories.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
- Support pediatric dentistry efforts by engaging with young patients in a friendly manner.
- Assist in endodontic procedures as needed, ensuring all instruments are prepared efficiently.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix software for patient management.
- Familiarity with dental terminology to communicate effectively with staff and patients.
- Experience working as a dental receptionist is advantageous for managing front-office tasks.
- Understanding of infection control practices to ensure safety standards are met.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles to cater to younger patients effectively.
- Ability to perform medical imaging techniques accurately.
- Experience or knowledge in endodontics is beneficial for assisting during specialized procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
