Job Summary
Jordan River Health Campus is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Certified Dietary Manager to oversee our dietary department in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with experience in assisted living settings. This role requires a passion for patient care, along with the ability to lead and manage dietary staff effectively while ensuring compliance with health regulations and dietary guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the dietary department, ensuring high standards of food service and nutrition care are maintained.
- Conduct patient assessments to develop individualized care plans that meet nutritional needs.
- Oversee tube feeding procedures and ensure proper administration according to patient requirements.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations to monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide health coaching and nutritional education to patients and staff.
- Manage budgeting for the dietary department, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining quality service.
- Lead and mentor dietary staff, fostering a collaborative work environment that encourages professional development.
- Maintain knowledge of physiology and nutrition principles to guide dietary practices effectively.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Dietary Manager is required; additional credentials in dietetics or nutrition preferred.
- Proven experience in assisted living or similar healthcare settings is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of patient assessment techniques and care plan development.
- Experience with tube feeding protocols and diagnostic evaluations is an asset.
- Demonstrated management skills, including budgeting and leadership experience within a dietary department.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
