Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our Long Term Care Pharmcy. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the pharmacy operations and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient service while adhering to all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV infusions and inhalation therapies.
- Accurately manage medication administration processes, ensuring compliance with medical protocols.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices to effectively communicate with healthcare staff and patients.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering medication counseling as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of medications and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient profiles, and medication usage in accordance with pharmacy regulations.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program.
- Proven experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred, particularly in critical care or acute care environments.
- Strong understanding of medication administration practices and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and teamwork.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
- Must possess valid AZ state certification

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
