2. Work to maintain a balanced budget annually for the department, as well as the distribution formula for the department’s faculty practice earnings, and manage the expenses of clinical practice.
3. Achieve budget transparency and enhance the understanding and involvement of the department’s faculty.
4. Optimize the operation of departmental programs and clinical affiliations.
5. Work with other departments and centers to achieve mutually agreed upon interdepartmental goals across the research, educational, and clinical mission areas.
6. Ensure that the clinical faculty of the department provide timely reporting and attestation of effort at University Hospital in compliance with the Clinical Services Agreement between NJMS and UH.
8. Regularly attend the monthly department chairs meetings, Faculty Council meetings, and other standing and ad hoc committee meetings as assigned by the Vice Dean or Dean.
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply.
