Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a crucial role in overseeing patient care within our facility, ensuring that all nursing standards are met while providing high-quality care to patients. This position requires a strong leader who can effectively manage nursing staff, coordinate patient care, and maintain compliance with established protocols and standards in a Level I Trauma Center environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans based on established standards.
- Perform advanced medical procedures including spinal taps, catheterization, and medical imaging as required.
- Utilize Epic software for patient documentation and management.
- Provide training and support to nursing staff on best practices in memory care and basic life support techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
- Monitor compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Address any issues or concerns related to patient care promptly and effectively.
Experience
- Previous experience in a Charge Nurse or similar leadership role is preferred.
- Familiarity with Level I Trauma Center operations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in performing sonography and other diagnostic procedures is a plus.
- Strong understanding of nursing standards and best practices in patient care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
