About the Role
We are seeking a Chef de Partie (CDC) to join our award-winning kitchen team. This role is ideal for a skilled, motivated chef who thrives in a collaborative, high-performance environment and wants to explore the boundaries of Japanese cuisine.
As a Chef de Partie at Nisei, you will:
Manage one savory station in its entirety, ensuring precision and consistency
Order and manage product inventory for your station
Produce high-quality mise en place meeting Michelin-level standards
Apply Japanese knife skills, traditional cooking techniques, sushi fundamentals, and Japanese confectionery basics
Explore avant-garde methods, including hydrocolloids and modern preparations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
Uphold accountability for your prep list and ingredient integrity
Collaborate closely with the Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chefs, and the rest of the team
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 4 years professional culinary experience
Michelin-star restaurant background required
Culinary school graduate preferred
Strong work ethic, humility, and a positive attitude
Passion for Japanese cuisine and a desire to innovate
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative kitchen
Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
Compensation & Benefits
