Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Center Operations Director with great people skills to help lead our team in providing exceptional care and education to children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for both children and staff.
Our mission is to care for, protect, include and educate all children, including high risk children; Build a solid foundation for learning which begins at birth. Also, improve the quality of all children's lives through quality childcare, early screening, early quality education, family/community support and engagement.
Responsibilities include:
1. Lead and manage the overall operations of the childcare center, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff
2. Support DCFS with all requests
3. Support program families in all areas of need
4. Manage parent payments and receivables
5. Support staff as Instructional leader and coach
6. Provide senior leadership, mentoring staff in professional development and required trainings
7. Provide observations and evaluations
8. Provide senior leadership by mentoring staff, fostering professional development, and promoting a positive workplace culture
9. Manage staff files and file requests
10. Manage program accreditations
11. Manage food program and reporting
12. Manage CCAP program and reporting
13. Assist in planning and leadership of staff team meetings and In-service meetings
14. Assist in the assessment of program and program quality improvement
15. Assist with quality program services that ensure staff wellness/mental health
16. Assist with the coordination of family engagement activities, family support and education.
17. Manage building and program safety, maintenance and inspections
18. Substitute in the classroom when necessary, in the absence of staff
19. Provide daily reports to Executive Director
20. Attend weekly meetings with Executive Director
21. Attend monthly staff meeting
22. Working toward Gateways Director Credential II
Experience
- Must have at least 3+ years of proven experience as childcare director or in management within a child care setting is essential.
- Strong background in operations management and leadership roles.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
