We are looking for multiple individuals to work in our Infant, toddler and preschool classrooms.
An assistant teacher, under the supervision of the classrooms Lead Teacher and the Center Director, is responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher and implementing a developmentally appropriate educational based program for the classroom assigned. The curriculum must meet the emotional, physical, cognitive and social needs for the individual child and group of children. The curriculum must follow the state developmental standards provided.
Minimum Requirements
- Develop a careful and creative program that is age appropriate for the kids in their care.
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
- Attend and manage weekly field trips.
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
- Collaborate with other educators
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
