Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children. The Teacher will be responsible for implementing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering positive relationships with students and their families.
Responsibilities
- Create or follow lesson plans that incorporate various learning styles and address the individual needs of each child.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Provide care for infants, toddlers, twos and/or preschool, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with parents and families to support children's development at home.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that is conducive to learning.
- Utilize effective communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
Requirements
- Early childhood teachers must be at least 19 years of age.
- Must pass a background check.
- Highschool Diploma or GED.

- 60 semester hours of credits from an accredited college with six semester hours in courses related directly to child care development.
- (Substitute for above) One year (1,560 clock hours) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours from an accredited college or university with six semester hours in courses related directly to child development
- (Substitute for above) Completion of credentialing programs approved by the Department in accordance with Early Childhood Teacher Credentialing Programs.

- Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is not required but preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that accommodates diverse learning needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
