Role Summary:
As a Sound Engineer at Radiant Life Church, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality audio experience that facilitates an engaging and immersive worship environment. You are tasked with managing all aspects of sound production, from pre-service preparation to post-service breakdown, ensuring each service runs smoothly and without distraction. Your technical expertise and passion for worship will contribute to the spiritual journey of our congregation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage audio equipment for services, including setup and breakdown.
- Conduct line and sound checks prior to services, adjusting settings for optimal sound quality.
- Collaborate with worship leaders and pastors to meet audio needs and accommodate any last-minute changes.
- Monitor and adjust sound levels and mixes in real-time during services.
- Record services, maintaining high audio standards for reproductions and archives.
- Directly address and troubleshoot any sound issues, ensuring minimal disruption to the worship experience.
- work with musicians pre and post-service to identify and resolve any audio issues experienced during worship.
- Manage and report any equipment malfunctions, ensuring a high standard of maintenance and readiness.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A strong commitment to the Christian faith and a heart for worship.
- Active involvement with Radiant Life Church, with a minimum of six months of regular attendance.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and under direction.
- Experience in live sound mixing or willingness to be trained and mentored in audio production.
- Excellent communication skills with endorsement by a non-family member.
- Quick-thinking and capable of problem-solving under pressure.
- Participation in a church-affiliated Small Group is preferred.
- A commitment to ongoing technical training and personal skill development.
- Availability on Sundays and for quarterly meetings, as well as additional church events as needed.
