Job Duties
Facilitate the delivery of supplies, food and equipment to school. Liaise with lunch vendor to verify that menus support the National Lunch Program. Maintain lunch schedules and work with staff to monitor needs. Maintain lunch ordering program and update as needed. Communicate with families changes in schedules.
Additionally, this job will entail some playground supervision and support.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
- Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Hold a valid Oregon driver’s license
- Hold a Food Handlers certificate or be able to obtain one immediately.
- Knowledge of Child Nutrition Programs helpful
Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain menus and update program accordingly
- Maintain information pertaining to special dietary needs for students
- Ensure compliance with federal and state nutritional regulations
- Evaluate vendor products and delivery
- Collaborate with staff to project supply needs and coordinate with vendors to fulfill orders
- Collaborate with lunch program staff to accommodate deliveries
- Identify and report operational inefficiencies to the appropriate personnel and make recommendations as needed
- Assist with the performance of administrative, operational and maintenance tasks on department technology
- Maintain detailed records
- Serve as the primary resource for policies, procedures, and data related to an assigned area of responsibility
- Submit claims to state agencies in a timely manner
- Prep and cook meals on a daily basis.
- Perform the duties of a cook,
- Oversee students during lunchtime and maintain safety of the students and adherence to City View lunchroom norms.
Working Conditions
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Follow site and/or District protocol for reporting absences
- Follow all District policies, work procedures
- Follow all reasonable requests/instructions by proper authority
- Maintain the integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, and District operations
- Work independently in the performance of routine duties
- Make sound decisions
- Participate in required meetings and trainings related to the position
- Maintain required licenses/certifications and successfully complete required trainings for the position
- Utilize the District’s electronic systems and applications related to the position
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Be able to stand for long periods of time
- Repetitive motion of wrists
- Fine manipulation
- Lifting/Carrying 40lbs
- Repetitive use of hands: squeezing and gripping
Time Commitment
- Averages 30 hours per week, for a 11 month calendar
Compensation Package
- Pay range $17.00-$19.40 per hour worked
